This Disaster Response Training is an intensive, simulation-based course that will equip you for relief work. You will gain an overview of the disaster preparedness and response sectors, build your transferable skill sets, and develop your ability to operate in high stress situations.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone wanting to prepare themselves for work in the disaster response sector. It is an essential part of OM's recruitment to our voluntary disaster response register, which provides surge capacity in future relief situations. Membership of the response register is not automatic and you will have the opportunity to find out more about this, and the other work of OM, during the training.

Requirements
Participants need to:
- be 21 or over
- have experience in cross-cultural settings
- have a high level of English proficiency
- be committed to OM's values
OM is a Christian charity with long-term teams throughout the world. When these teams face a disaster situation our International Disaster Response team is on hand to provide surge capacity, disaster response training and technical support.
